Reality television, dominating the tube right now, is about the, Real behavior of real people in real environment. It also shows how people getting insulted or humiliated. An irony about reality shows is that they are unreal as key moments are staged. They are unscripted dramas like sports. They are cheap to produce and are popular with viewers. People are nosy in nature, so, they erase the boundaries between the public and private. Most producers can still genuinely surprise us with great and new way of telling a story with ideas that grab us in some fundamental place. This shows that reality shows are profitable. Reality shows will always have a place on televisions. The prospects are dim and it ruins the reputation of the network and producers will soon run out of ideas. Thus, competitions of programming will also be present and on-going.
